Jaide Bateman
I am a local creative, spending my time working from my home studio in Kelowna, BC. I love to create in all forms. I explore various mediums such as printmaking, oils, acrylics, alcohol inks, and watercolors. Currently, my art can be seen in the backgrounds of many local movies produced in the past three years by CMW Mountain Productions. I am currently running an exhibition at the Kelowna Innovation Center until March 2025.
I am also a dancer, performing locally in various shows and videos with Femme Fatale Kelowna, Noir Dance Kelowna, Cosmic Co Motion, Elevate Kelowna, Curiosity Music Festival, and more!
Spontaneity is the heart of my art, often reflecting truth in the present. Inspired by nature and adventure, I often find myself hiking, kayaking, or lost in the wilderness, which comes through in most of my work. Lately, I've been delving into figure and gestural work, blending human form into abstract expressions.

Exhibiting
Since 2019, Jaide has taught over a thousand students in her online and in-person workshops. These courses were offered up until 2021 when Jaide decided to step back from teaching and pursue higher education of her own. She now offers these technique videos for free for artists to reference in their artistic adventures.
