Service Description
Perhaps you are looking to simply improve your mobility and flexibility, or maybe the splits have been a goal in your new years resolutions . . . Whatever your goals, this DANCE-BASED class is rooted in foundations of dance but in a judgement-free zone with options for every body. --> Beginners encouraged! --> Advanced options will be given for those experienced needing a challenge. Progressive overload is essential for continued growth. CLASS GOALS FIRST HOUR: Warm up: improve strength, mobility, flexibility, and dance skills through drills and mini-combos Movement: drilling movements that are essential to performance - beginner to advanced level options available SECOND HOUR: - facial expressions - playing with costumes - musicality - self expression of a character PLUS!! 20 minute Juicy stretch with emphasis on splits-specific stretches PLEASE BRING: - socks - non-marking heels (no black rubber soles) - kneepads (I have a couple extras - a pair of old socks can also be cut and stuffed for a cheap alternative) - any costumes you would like to practice in a judgement-free zone - BRING YOUR WEIRDEST/SEXIEST/WILDEST THINGS! - comfortable clothes you can bend every which way (tight clothes are helpful to observe form, but comfort is subjective) - respect for your body's capacity - every day it will be different Minimum 4 participants. If less than 4, the class may be rescheduled.
